The Wordsmith’s Tools are Broken

Of course, I had to start reading this article from Slate. I love a mind-bending paradox. This is, of course, also why I had to stop reading at about the halfway mark.

That was where I hit the first typo:

An article about editing with an edit.

I took my obligatory screenshot and began making my edits. If I were employed by Slate to massage its articles, I would have started this process back in the previous paragraph. The article needed some TLC.

And more edits to an article about editing.

And in the time since I scratched yesterday’s editing itch with the above markup, someone provided that TLC. The article is much improved.

Kudos to Slate’s editors!
